About Us
Thomson-Hood Veterans Center is the largest facility operated by the KY Department of Veterans Affairs. Thomson-Hood, along with its sister facilities in Hazard and Hanson, forms KDVA's Office of Kentucky Veterans Centers.
Thomson-Hood Veterans Center has served more than 2,709 Veterans from all branches of the armed forces since admitting the first resident on August 25, 1991. Thomson-Hood is dedicated to meeting the healthcare needs of Kentucky Veterans.

From Lexington, take Harrodsburg Road US-68W, towards Harrodsburg/Nicholasville/Wilmore. Go approximately 9.5 miles to take a left onto KY-29. Go 1 mile to Veterans Drive and THVC entrance on left.(Approximately 11 miles from Man-O-War Blvd.)
From Danville, take Shakertown Road KY-33 towards Harrodsburg about 8 miles, turn left onto Pleasant Hill Drive to continue following KY-33. Go about 4.5 miles to turn right onto US-68E for about 10 miles. Turn right onto Ky-29 and go 1 mile to Veterans Drive and THVC entrance on left. (Approximately 24 miles.)
